The Peterson Companies and DRI Development Services have announced that a new luxury movie theater, Silverspot Cinema, will be coming to Bethesda as part of the Rock Spring Centre development, set to break ground this summer.
Along with the theater, Rock Spring Centre, along Old Georgetown Road and Rock Spring Drive, will feature specialty boutiques along with cafes and restaurants for a total of 220,000 square feet of retail. There will also be a 40,000-square-foot health club, office space, a hotel and residential units.
Silverspot Cinema offers high-end movie viewing with reserved stadium seating, hand-stitched leather seats, hardwood floors, and a full service café and bar with a lounge area and even “health-conscious” options and a children’s menu.
Silverspot is a division of South American company, Cines Unidos. So far, this will be only the third U.S. location, with the other two being in Naples and Miami, Florida.
According to today’s press release, Silverspot CEO Gonzalo Ulivi says “Bethesda is the perfect match for Silverspot.”
