Fashion show, Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day(s) Scandinavian shoes and more

Shopping sales and events this weekend

There’s so much going on in town this weekend that my short list of bits has grown into a substantial bite— a virtual mouthful. Shoppers can find everything from new baby gear to bridal gowns to shoe specials. First up though, a fashion show on a restaurant runway:

Bethesda’s Pink Palm and Cesco Osteria are rolling out the runway on Sunday at the restaurant’s seemingly versatile Co2 Lounge.

The fashion show, which benefits Thanks USA in support of our troops, offers a preview of Lilly Pulitzer’s summer line (not yet in stores).

The day includes brunch prepared by Chef Francesco Ricchi, appropriately pink summer rosé wines and discounts on clothing purchased after the show.

Tickets, which are $100 at the door, can be purchased for $65 online, as well as at Cesco Osteria and Pink Palm.

We’ll keep you posted as more fashion and food events develop at Chef Ricchi’s “multisensory” Co2 Lounge. See a video promoting the show here.
