Trendy Swedish retailer H&M is rapidly expanding its reach into our area with a new store slated to open in downtown Silver Spring in September, according to today’s report in the Washington Business Journal.
We reported here last week that a new store is opening this fall at Chevy Chase Pavilion, which will make a total of five Montgomery County locations in our area, with the most recent being the H&M that opened in December to a line of shoppers waiting to get inside at Westfield Wheaton.
We also have H&M stores in Gaithersburg at Lakeforest Mall and North Bethesda at White Flint.
The Silver Spring location will take over the 18,000-square-foot former Borders location on Fenton Street.
