Potomac’s StretchAlicious has just announced that it is closing its doors March 1 in Cabin John Mall.

Online retailer ActivewearUSA.com has acquired the company and will sell all StretchAlicious merchandise on its website.

StretchAlicious co-founder Randi Klein says closing the store is “bittersweet.”

“Though I’ll miss all of my customers, it’s a good thing,” Klein says. “ActivewearUSA.com is one of the biggest online retailers of activewear in the country…. It was a good offer and the time was right.”

StretchAlicious opened in 2007 by five local women: Jodi Korth, Randi Klein, Karen Machado, Jessica Lillienfield and Barbara Gutermanan. The shop participated in community events and was dedicated to promoting charitable causes.

StretchAlicious features yoga wear and specialized in the Margarita brand, a unique one-size brand that fits all sizes of women and is characterized by its bold patterns and signature daisy flower.

Don’t miss the chance to stock up now during the store’s “blowout acquisition sale” through Feb. 29. All merchandise is discounted 50 percent to 75 percent off.

The Charlotte, N.C.-based Activewear.com offers over 80 brands of apparel including Margarita, Bia Brazil, Bluefish, ALO, Prana, SPANX Activewear and O’Neill 365.
