If, like everybody else, you’ve resolved to eat more salads in 2012, then sweetgreen’s New Year’s resolution contest could be worth a shot: Each of the two winners gets $2,500 worth of store credit to use until the end of the year.
The locally-grown, eco-friendly salad bar and tart frozen yogurt chain is asking people to tweet or text their resolutions to it, and then two winners will be randomly chosen (one tweet, one text).
For specifics on how to enter the contest, which is open until January 27, go to www.sweetgreen.com
In the meantime, people have been encouraged to share their resolutions anonymously at sweetgreen’s 10 locations; the front window of the Bethesda store at 4831 Bethesda Avenue is full of yellow Post-it notes. They’re fun to read.
Among the resolutions I spotted:
- Find me a man who is jacked and tan
- Lose weight & remarry my wife
- Be sweeter to my boyfriend
- Date Alex
- Party like it’s 1995
- Turn my everyday gibberish into a novel
- Feed every starving child in Somalia
- Stop biting my nails
- Be empathetic
- Complain less
- Be a cheerleader
- Start the Zombie Apocalypse
