The area certainly doesn’t lack for holiday shopping specials.
And it’s no wonder; the D.C. metro area was recently rated No. 1 for shopaholic tendencies by Bundle.com.
So to keep us busy doing what we do best, we offer more reasons to get out and shop. And not to be outdone, our list starts with a giant menorah made of jellybeans.
*The Chabad of Bethesda-Chevy Chase will host the Chanukah Family Spectacular at 6 p.m. on Dec. 22 in Bethesda Lane.
The highlight: lighting a giant menorah made of jellybeans. Bonus swag: dreidels stuffed with jellybeans to go.
*Welcome new kid on the block extendYoga in the Parklawn Shopping Center and attend their first holiday fair on Dec. 17 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The event features local vendors, artists and craftsman offering a variety of holiday gifts including jewelry, soaps, clothing and more.
The studio will also offer 10 percent off in their own retail boutique during the fair. Look for women’s apparel, yoga props, jewelry and organic teas.
*Local jewelry designer Suzanne Somersall will be at Ginger on Bethesda Lane on Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. hosting a trunk show of delicate designs from her Kira Kira line.
*More jewelry: J. McLaughlin will host an à bientôt jewelry trunk show Dec. 15-17. Across the street, Amethyst will be having a Suzy Landa trunk show Dec. 16-17.
*Furniture store Urban Country on Bethesda Lane will be offering 20 percent off all accessories and 10 percent off selected furniture lines through Dec. 31.
*Shop at Wear It Well on Bethesda Avenue through Dec. 15 and get $20 for every $200 you spend. The extra bucks are redeemable from Dec. 26-Jan. 15.
Wear It Well and its sister store, Sequel at Wildwood Shopping Center, are holding Lunch Break Craving sales on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
