Turkey Chase 2011

Every Thanksgiving for the past 28 years, thousands of runners have gathered in Bethesda to run in the Turkey Chase in support of the YMCA's Youth and Family Services, YMCA Bethesda-Chevy Chase and the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rotary Club Foundation.

On Thanksgiving Day, thousands of runners gathered in Bethesda to run the Turkey Chase. The event supports the YMCA's Youth and Family Services, YMCA Bethesda-Chevy Chase and the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rotary Club foundation.

Participants ran in a 10K race and families joined in with a 2 mile fun run/walk.

This year, according to the preliminary results, Samuel Luff of Rockville won the 10K race with a time of 31 minutes and 32 seconds. Piotr Dybas of Richmond, Va. and Christopher Sloane of Rockville came in second and third.
