Upscale Porcelanosa celebrates its new location with a celebrity chef, tapas and a supermodel

Porcelanosa, the cutting-edge tile shop that had a less than cutting-edge location up Rockville Pike next door to Marlo Furniture, has moved and officially opened in a larger space at 11500 Rockville Pike.

The opening party on Nov. 17 included Spanish celebrity chef Jose Andres of Bethesda’s Jaleo and Argentine supermodel Valeria Mazza, Spanish tapas and live music.

It certainly wasn’t hard to find. A four-beam spotlight signaled Porcelanosa’s parking lot up and down the Pike.

The new showroom (former site of Anthropologie) boasts 12,000 square feet, which Porcelanosa has redone in all white like an art gallery—a perfect setting to highlight their streamlined bath and kitchen displays.

One wall is comprised entirely of different kinds of tile samples—you’ll find everything from glittering gold to sparkling glass and natural stone. Another wall shows off the company’s lavish array of flooring.

The family-owned Spanish company has been in business for over 30 years and has graced Prince Charles’ residences with their luxury products.
