How would you describe your personal style?
"My personal style is totally just individual and colorful. I absolutely dress to affect the atmosphere around me."
Who are your style icons?
"My mother. She has always been totally individual and very chic in a very funky setting. Both my parents were very stylish. My mother and father were great icons to me. Then came Victoria MacKenzie-Childs, Betsey Johnson and Vivian Westwood. I pick it up from everything I do. Paula Fletcher of Dumb Clothing in San Francisco. She tailor makes me my bright, funky faux fur waist coats and hopefully a pair of faux fur bright orange pants this year; to match the jacket I already have!"
Where do you like to shop?
"I shop in bits and pieces. I absolutely love Betsey Johnson. I like mixing today with something that happened yesterday, or something futuristic. And I absolutely love dressing in extreme, layers, scenes and all sorts of things going on in one outfit or costume. Another place i like to shop is the Army Surplus shops and secondhand shops."
What is your favorite thing in your wardrobe?
"My ring with a beautiful red stone that has a star on it. I found it in a miraculous way. I was on a beach in Eeire. It is a special thing to find red glass. I grew up on the beach but never found it. In the last few years, I looked down and it was there. I thought it was candy and pecked at it with my teeth. It was glass and was etched with a star. I had it made into a ring. I also can't leave the house without my lipstick. This has been forever. I wear iridescent pink/magenta."
How has your fashion changed/evolved?
"I've always totally changed. There is always a stream of familiarity in it. And I guess more eccentric. And I like to go with the big cosmic flow."
Funniest fashion moment?
"We went out to a bar by the zoo. The place was cooking. My friend wanted to dance and she made me. I had on a skirt that had a ruffle on it and it was about knee-length with stockings and heels. I put my heel up so far that it caught on the hem and it pulled my skirt down. I finally got to my feet without losing my cool."
