Imagination Stage Gala

The 2011 Annual Gala and Silent Auction took place on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Imagination Stage.

Chaired by Melissa and Scott Lesmes and Margo and Michael Sadow, the 2011 Annual Gala and Silent Auction took place on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Imagination Stage.

The most enchanted party of the year kicked off with a pre-show reception and silent auction co-chaired by David Harrison, Amber Hsu, and Courtney Sullivan and was followed by a wondrously original and inspiring performance in the Annette M. and Theodore N. Lerner Family Theatre performed by Imagination Stage students, professional company.

A guest appearance was made by Mo Rocca, writer and satirist, and Imagination Stage Alumnus along with the presentation of the Imagination Award to Joan Cushing, composer, lyricist, playwright and political hjumorist.

The evening concluded with a celebratory buffet reception, generously provided by Ridgewells Catering.

We are thrilled to announce that the event raised $278,000. Proceeds from the Gala benefit Imagination Stage's theatre and arts education programs, which reach over 100,000 children and families in the Washington, D.C. region each year.

Imagination Stage's programs are informed by our core belief in making the arts inclusive and accessible to all children, regardless of their physical or cognitive ability, or their economic status.
