Care for Kids shopping cards are on sale now

Have you bought your Care for Kids shopping card yet?

The $50 purchase price grants shoppers a 20 percent discount at participating shops from Oct. 21 through 30 and benefits The Children’s National Medical Center

Get a jump on holiday shopping by visiting the 500 merchants who participate in this annual fundraiser. You can use the card at a wealth of local stores including Flora’s Feathered Nest and Emily Grace in Potomac; Blanca Flor, American Plant and Amethyst in Bethesda; On Cloud 9 and As Kindred Spirits in Rockville; Paul’s Liquor and Abrielle Fine Linens in Northwest D.C. and many more.

The spree kicks off with a series of fun, local events including one at MyGym in Bethesda on Oct. 14; at Beyda’s Lad & Lassie on Oct. 18; and at Bethesda Row’s “Morning, Noon and Night” event on Oct. 21, which will feature raffles, prizes and mini-makeovers.
