Girls Night Out, Safe Babies and a Passport to Style

Three local events to keep you fashionably in the know

Lacy Couture Apparel in Potomac Woods Shopping Center is hosting a Girls Night Out Wed., Oct. 5 with guests Melissa Lesmes and Margo Sadow, the 2011 Imagination Stage Gala co-chairs.

The event, which benefits Imagination Stage, will takes place at the store (350 Fortune Terrace, Rockville, 240-453-9007) from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 

The evening includes personal image consultations with Jane S. Pennewell of JP Image Consulting, wine tasting courtesy of The Bottle Shop, nibbles by Cava and live models.

On that same night, Capital City Mamas are hosting Safe Baby, Calm Mama at Daisy Baby in Bethesda.

Michele Spahr, founder of Safe Start Baby, will discuss baby-proofing essentials—the leading causes of accidents, steps to prevent injuries and product must-haves.

The event, which includes $35 in giveaways, raffle prizes and a 15 percent discount on purchases, starts at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 5. Early bird tickets are $10 and RSVP is required at http://safebabycalmmama.eventbrite.com.

Finally, The Shops at Wisconsin Place in Chevy Chase hosts its annual fashion and beauty night out, Passport to Style, Oct. 13 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
