Bethesda Urban Partnership (BUP) and the Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District have announced that they are opening Gallery B, a new nonprofit gallery at 7700 Wisconsin Ave., Suite E, in Bethesda. The gallery officially opens with a reception on Friday, Oct. 14, as part of the Bethesda Art Walk, which meets the second Friday of every month. Sculptor and architect Mark Kramer of Bethesda’s Kramer Architects will present “A Retrospective of Figurative Bronzes” from Oct. 12-Nov. 5.
“Since some galleries have closed in downtown Bethesda, we hope that this opportunity provides a way for local and regional artists to continue to exhibit their work,” Stephanie Coppula of BUP wrote in an email. The “B” in Gallery B stands for Bethesda, BUP and Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District. Coppula reports that they are able to open the gallery with the support of the developer, Bethesda Place Limited Partnership.
