The country-French retailer bids adieu

August 29, 2011 3:38 p.m.

As the iconic country-French home décor company files for bankruptcy and bids its customers adieu, the Wildwood Shopping Center outpost of Pierre Deux is holding a 40 percent to 60 percent off, going-out-of-business sale. With new items still arriving from the warehouse, it’s a good time to stock up on its signature print bags, fabrics and accessories, as well as French country furnishings, light fixtures and other home décor before the store closes on Sept. 30. All sales are final. The company was started in 1967 by Pierre Le Vec and Pierre Moulin in Greenwich Village. The Bethesda store is located at 10305 Old Georgetown Road, 301-564-9200.
