Fans of Ren’s Ramen on 6931 Arlington Road in Bethesda undoubtedly know this already, but for those who sip soup less often, the Japanese noodle shop closed its doors on September 3. The reason: the space it sub-leased in the defunct Daruma grocery is being used for a new tenant. Fear not, owners Yoko and Eiji Nakamura are in the process of scouting out another location. In the meantime, Satsuma restaurant on 8003 Norfolk Ave. in Bethesda has been using its noodle by offering a new ramen menu (four varieties—soy sauce, miso, pork broth and cold soy sauce, $10 each).
