Residents of Fenestra Apartments enjoy the convenience of living in Rockville Town Square, with its proximity to retail shopping, dining and even a public library.
“There’s so much to do here, you really don’t ever need to leave,” regional property manager Tara Geary says about living in Rockville Town Square.
“My favorite features about Fenestra are the facilities available and the proximity to Rockville Town Square,” says resident Stephanie Davis. “I have yet to find any drawbacks to living here.”

Jefferson at Inigo’s Crossing
Jefferson at Inigo’s Crossing offers less expensive apartments than the Bethesda Market and treetop views for residents. Located on Tuckerman Lane in Rockville, it includes lots of community activities and spaces for gathering.
“The sports pub is something new that gives residents the opportunity to entertain guests or throw a party where they have access to a TV, bar, games and ample seating,” Leasing Director Carlos Vale says. The sports pub features plasma-screen TVs, billiards, shuffleboard and darts.
Property manager and resident Amy Foley says the 473-unit apartment building attracts a lot of young professionals.With granite countertops, GE appliances,maple cabinetry and, in some units, balconies and terraces, residents will feel as though they are being pampered. “You definitely get what you pay for here at Inigo’s,” Foley says.
Amenities: Outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi, sundeck and courtyard, private movie theater, 24-hour concierge, fitness center, business center, coffee bar and sports pub.

The Palisades
For those looking for an apartment building that is close to the action but located in a less congested area, The Palisades on Cordell Avenue in Bethesda’s Woodmont Triangle may be a good option.
“The location is ideal. I am walking distance from downtown Bethesda, the Metro, and I still feel like I live in a quiet area,” says Palisades resident Delores Rogers. Rogers’ only complaint was adapting to a smaller apartment space from her home in Florida. “I am paying double the rent for half the space, but Bethesda is so charming I can see why it’s so expensive,” she says.
Unlike other Bethesda-area apartment buildings, the rent at The Palisades includes most utilities (electricity is not one of them). Prospective residents will find an array of options among the property’s 310 units, froms mall one bedrooms to penthouses. Penthouse residents have special access to personal concierge service on their floor, as well as free cocktail hours, monthly maid service, premium reserved parking, weekday breakfasts and a private sky lounge.
Amenities: Outdoor pool and sundeck, 24-hour concierge, fitness center with cardio theater and access to a personal trainer, business center and club room.
Prices: A studio apartment costs $1,500 a month. One-bedroom, one bath units cost between $1,875 and $2,042. A two bedroom with two baths costs between $2,600 and $3,400. A three bedroom, two-and-a-half bath costs $3,600 or $3,650, depending on the height of the ceiling. A one-bedroom penthouse runs anywhere from $2,500 to $3,165. Two-, three- and four-bedroom penthouses range from $3,880 to $8,365.

Upstairs at Bethesda Row stretches for a block along Bethesda Lane, the recently completed pedestrian byway between Bethesda Avenue and Elm Street, and is just above new street level shopping and dining. The bustling Bethesda Lane gives the four-story building a European feel. The contemporary style rental units, within walking distance of everything downtown Bethesda offers, come with designer interiors.
Kathleen Gerrie moved to Upstairs from Hawaii in June and says she is happy with her choice. “Everything is so close I rarely have to use my car,” says Gerrie, a nurse at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. While Upstairs at Bethesda Row sits in the middle of a busy urban area, Gerrie says her unit is quiet.
Renters began moving into the 180-unit building at the beginning of June, according to Property Manager Shannon Lepai of Bozzuto Management.
Amenities: Granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, wood blinds, residents’ lounge and terrace and a 24-hour fitness center.
Prices: Units range from $2,175 a month for a 711-squarefoot, one-bedroom, one-bath unit to $4,550 for a 1,418-squarefoot, two-bedroom loft.
