Patients, employees and family members at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda received a surprise visit Tuesday morning from first lady Melania Trump.
Stephanie Grisham, director of communications for the first lady, tweeted around 10:30 a.m. that Trump had just arrived for an unannounced visit to “combat injured service members” and their families.
“This administration will never stop supporting our men & women in uniform & the families who love them,” the tweet continued.
In May, Trump stayed at Walter Reed for five nights after undergoing a kidney procedure.
More details about the visit were not immediately available from the White House press office.
