The Bethesda and Medical Center Metro stations will be closed this weekend while workers repair leaks.

Free shuttle buses will carry riders between the Grosvenor-Strathmore, Medical Center, Bethesda and Friendship Heights stations during the closures, according to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. It will be about a 10-minute drive between each station.

WMATA instructed riders in a bulletin to tap their SmarTrip cards whenever they enter and exit the rail system, explaining that commuters going through the work zone would be charged for a single, uninterrupted trip.

Red Line trains will run every 10 minutes between Shady Grove and Grosvenor and Friendship Heights and Glenmont over the weekend, according to the transit system.
